OBERHOFEN AM THUNERSEE, SWITZERLAND, AND AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, 7 September 2026: The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has appointed Motto as a technology supplier for its digital video platform, signing a multi-year agreement to support the continued development of FIS’s digital fan experience.
In just two months, Motto transitioned FIS’s established platform and extensive video content archive to its configurable sports technology infrastructure. The migration was completed ahead of the 2026/27 season, with the renewed platform launching on 26 August 2026.
The new technology foundation integrates with FIS’s internal systems and supports the automation of publishing and content-management workflows. Its sport-specific data model enables FIS to structure and manage content around disciplines, competitions, seasons, events and athletes, while reducing the operational effort required to maintain and develop the platform.
Available at watch.fis-ski.com, the platform brings FIS video content together in a dedicated destination for ski and snowboard fans. It features live and on-demand coverage, replays, highlights, clips, original programming and archive content. The availability of individual events and content in each market continues to be determined by territorial broadcast agreements and media rights.
The platform has been designed to support FIS’s international scale, including live coverage throughout the 2026/27 season, alongside a growing library of on-demand and archive content.
Motto’s configurable architecture allows FIS to evolve the platform around its own sports ecosystem without having to build or maintain the underlying technology. It also gives the FIS digital team greater flexibility over how content is structured, presented and distributed, while supporting the federation’s existing broadcast relationships.
By connecting the platform with FIS’s wider technology environment, the relationship creates opportunities to further automate workflows, reduce manual intervention and introduce new digital experiences for ski and snowboard fans.
“Our ambition is to deliver significantly more value to ski and snowboard fans while operating the platform more efficiently. Motto gives us the flexibility to model our sports ecosystem, integrate with our internal systems and automate complex publishing workflows that previously required significant manual intervention. Combined with a more cost-efficient technology foundation, this allows our team to focus more of its time and resources on content, innovation and the fan experience.”
“Transitioning an established international platform and its content archive in two months required close collaboration, flexible technology and a clear understanding of FIS’s operational requirements. FIS now has a more integrated and efficient foundation that supports its existing media-rights arrangements while giving its team greater flexibility over content workflows, presentation and the continued development of the digital fan experience.”
